The tech industry is abuzz with iPad Pro related rumors. The rumors suggest that a mammoth device by Apple is in the pipeline. The device will hit the shelves with the name iPad Pro. Over last two years, devices like iPad Mini and iPad Air have been released. iPad Mini, launched in November 2012 and iPad Air, launched in November 2013 performed impressively in the market. The forthcoming device is reported to be a cross between iPad Air and iPad Mini.
iPad Pro Feature and Specifications
The device could be 11.8 inch long. It could have a width of 7.9 inch and its depth is reported be 7.7 grams. The weight of the handset could be 600 grams. Even though iPad Pro is being called a Tablet, rumors indicate the device would be a hybrid of laptop and Tablet. The display of the device will be stunning. The screen will be 12.9 inch diagonally. There will be two variants of iPad Pro. The 4K variant will have a resolution of 4096 x 3072 pixels and the 2K variant will be of 2560 x 1600 pixels. The size of the screen (12.9 inch) will ease the optimization of the 4K display. You wold also like to read about the new iPhone 6.
Rumors also indicate the device will have 8 megapixel rear camera. The camera will be embedded inside Apple logo. There will be three Face-time Cameras and they will have full HD capacity. Of the three cameras, one will be on the front top and two others will be on two different sides. Thus if a user sets video call, he could be seen from more than one direction.
Display & Processor
Since the iPad Pro will release with 4K display, it would require more power. That’s the reason many sources believe iPad Pro will pack the next version of 64-bit A7 processor. A7 chipset is manufactured by Samsung. Apple may develop its A8 chip. According to a report by DigiTimes, manufacturing of the A8 processor will be done by Amkor, STATS ChipPAC and ASE. iPhone 6 is rumored to release with A8 CPU, so we’ll get to know how the processor functions.
Two other mention-able features of iPad Pro will be eye-tracking verification and air gesture control. Majority of the handsets in recent time have been released with these two specs. The eye-tracking verification will add a new layer of security and air gesture control will ease users. Reports also suggest that the device will have 4 very powerful speakers at its corner. This will improve the sound performance of the device.
In 2013, iPhone 5S was released with Touch ID fingerprint reading home button. According to sources, iPad Pro may also have this technology. Touch ID is an amazing feature; it enables users to unlock the device for purchasing something. They just need to tap on it few times.
There’s confusion regarding the release date of iPad Pro. Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Security thinks there’s no chance of the device to arrive in the market before 2015. He said Apple is currently working on new and more advanced hardware and software options. It will take time therefore for this technology to show up in the stores. This report was confirmed by other sources.
Thus, it seems quite unlikely to have it in the market before 2015.
