Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Google Nexus 6 are undoubtedly the hottest smartphones to expect this year. These two giant tech companies have taken smartphones to a higher level.

The Note 4 phablet which is actually combination of Smartphone and a tablet is considered to be in a class of its own while the Nexus is loved for its free flowing pure Android experience. Google has stuck to 4G LTE network but Samsung has upgraded its network to 4G LTE-A. Both support a 5.0 Bluetooth and Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac but Note 4 supports WiMax which Nexus doesn’t.

Display

Display is one factor that every smartphone is striving to improve. Note 4 seem to have beaten Google Nexus 6 in this field as it comes with a 5.8 inch Super AMOLED Display while the latter comes with 5.0 inch IPS screen. Samsung too has developed a stronger 2560 x 1440 pixels as compared to Nexus 6’s 1920 x 1080 pixels. Samsung Note 4 is therefore better placed in terms of display and thus will offer better viewing experience. However, you can’t phrase Samsung as the overall better device since this is just one of the many fronts that you are supposed to consider.

For interface, these two devices come with different technologies. Google Nexus 6 chooses to stick to Android experience as it runs on an Android 5.0 interface while its counterpart runs on a combination of technologies. Note 4 comes with TouchWiz UI, HALO Style and Floating Icons interface.

While these both technologies work well for the respective devices, the technological developments seem to favor Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Samsung has developed unique advancements on the Android systems and these developments are key to better functioning of the smartphone.
